It only takes a few seconds to install the free Shazzam utility. See what all the buzz is about. Install now
Projects using Shazzam
It seems that if a Silverlight/WPF project needs a pixel shader then Shazzam is in the toolbox. Here are some of the projects I’ve heard about that used Shazzam during the development cycle.
Face Maker
DAN Face Maker is an application for creating facial composite picture. Facial composite is a graphical presentation of an eyewitness’s memory of a face, as recorded by a composite artist. Facial composites are used mainly by police in their investigation of crimes. http://www.daneshmandi.com/
Easy Painter
An online image editor that is: Fast. Easy. Made for non-designers. And FREE! Unlike other online (or many offline) image editors, EasyPainter offers online effects comparable to powerful desktop apps, integrated search for millions of free-for-commercial or -personal use photos, and instant previews of any changes you make.
SilverShader
Rene loves working with graphics, shaders and Silverlight. His SilverShader sight showcases some of his work.

Thumba.net
Another nice photo editing site, done as an Out of Browser Silverlight application. Be sure and check out the effects section.
Do you have your own project that you are proud to show off? Did you use Shazzam to generate your shaders?
Submit your Project and I’ll add it to the community page.

I am looking for a Monochrome effect to apply to content that will preserve the transparency channel. The monochrome effect that is included with Shazzam discards the alpha channel and shows it as black. I would love to be able to take transparent pngs in monochrome and preserve the alpha element. How complicated would that be?
